FLASH, THE FLASHCARD APP

Making learning quick, easy, fun & interactive.

While enrolled in Career Foundry's UX Intro to Design course, our task was to concept and create a vocabulary app tool for users to learn a set of images or terms and definitions. To do so, we walked through the design process beginning with user research, personas, information architecture, wireframing and prototyping.

RESEARCH & USER INTERVIEWS

I began my project conducting research on a series of already established vocabulary apps. After doing so, I created a series of questions to use for user interviews with college students nearby to understand what they really valued and used when studying any vocabulary terms.

USER PERSONAS

Once research was done, I created a user persona and listed out their needs, goals and what their typical behaviors would be.

USER JOURNEY MAPS

Taking my user persona and using diagrams.net, I created user flows for them starting with their onboarding experience, how they would make a set of flashcards and ultimately how they would quiz themselves.

WIREFRAMES

The last leg of the project involved low-fidelity wireframes for each of the user flows above. Using these wireframes, I made prototypes in Marvel and conducted usability testing as well.
